On Friday, September 20th, 2019, the Washing Post published an article titled ‘We will make them hear us’: Millions of youths around
the world strike for action, who was written by Sarah Kaplan, Lauren Lumpkin, and Brady Dennis. The article explains how young people skipped class to make
the government do something about climate changes. The article explains the
things we need to do to save our planet.
All over
the world a lot of young people decided to make the government understand that
they need to do something to save our planet. Yes, everybody knows that we
humans are killing the planet but the government needs to help us save the planet. In
the article, it says that countries should promise to “vowing to reach net-zero by
2050, cutting fossil fuel subsidies and easing the construction of coal-fired power
plants.” The only way that countries can promise to do those things is if by the
government enforcing it.
Everyone
should read this article because saving our planet should matter to everybody
in the world. Saving our planet will let our kids live their future in much
more peace. This planet is the place where we are able to live, therefore our only option is saving our planet.
